Race Discrimination

In the fiscal year 2006, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) received 27,238 charges of race discrimination. These charges comprised 36 percent of the total charges received by the EEOC. The EEOC fined these companies a total of $61.4 million, which does not include litigation fees these companies also paid.
